NEXT MEETING:Thursday, December 11, 2025
6:30-8:00 p.m.
Topic: Annual Members Meeting & Holiday Potluck
with special talk by Bill Zeedyk! Join us for our annual holiday potluck to celebrate another successful year of restoring wildlife habitat across New Mexico! Please bring a dish to share and come help us celebrate a successful year of restoration projects, educational presentations, and advocacy, including AWF’s first-ever restoration planning and design workshop. The annual members meeting is also when we elect our board for the coming year. All dues-paying AWF members are eligible to vote for and serve on our all-volunteer board. This year’s potluck will feature a special talk by AWF Board Member Emeritus Bill Zeedyk! Bill’s talk, informally titled “Hooray vs. Oh No!” will review the impacts of a recent 100-year flood event on the restoration structures AWF volunteers built in Higgins Canyon, and the lessons we can learn from what survived and what failed in the flood. Bill will also discuss the progress that AWF has made toward restoring Cebolla Canyon over the last quarter-century and share his ideas about how we can continue to build on it. Directions to the Meeting: The Albuquerque Friends Meeting House is located at the corner of 5th and Bellamah. From I-40, take the 6th street exit, then South to Bellamah. Support AWF's work!
